Traffic Control

The protection of emergency personnel and the motoring public through early Traffic Control notification is an important service.

As the economy continues to affect all public services, budget cuts have led to limited availability of traffic control personnel and extra police units. Especially for Major or Intermediate traffic incidents where travel lanes must be diverted for any length of time.

Use of Arrow Boards will not confuse oncoming traffic like regular light bars. They are visible from a much further distance and clearly indicate which direction the traffic needs to be diverted well in advance of visual contact of police unit.
